About the coming out stories, i would like to share mine with you. I am a 20 year old com pilot student i came out at 19. To make a long
storie short, i always knew i was gay but accepting it was somewhat difficult. I had my first sexual experience with my friend at 12. I used the excuse that we are kids and it's just a game, but as
time catch up to u , u have to face facts. I moved away from home when i was 18 to do my studies ( the excuse i used with my parents )I knew that i had to get away from them because it got harder to hide
and i knew that they wouldn't except it . I met my first boyfriend in Durban, Kyle. As it was my first boyfriend and i haven't really except facts it was a very bad relationship. I had this
ex-army flying instructor that doesn't take crap from no one, he said to me once that he doesn't have time for school girls and if i want to be a pilot i have to sort out my life or he will do it
for me. He knew that i was gay becease kyle just so happend to be my training co-pilot and things got out of hand.
The first person i ever came out to was my friend Alex, he pushed me into a
corner and said:" tell me now are you gay becease i am " I never knew he was but so he came out and so did i.A week later my instructor phoned my dad and told him that i go to gay clubs and the
matter needed to be taken very seriosly.
My dad had me on a plane back home that same night, my dad is a very highly respected person in our town of only 50000 people and he was worried that it
would affect matters. But any way he got me home slapped me down in a chair and asked me the one question that every gay boy fears " Are you Gay!" So the time finnaly came to tell them , in
tears i told them that i was and they were great about it, they both said that they always knew and they were to scared to ask.The only thing still bothering me is the fact that i wasted my life as a
teenager worring about something that wasnt really that bad.
