Jose is seventeen and a senior in high school. He is the president of the student body and a peer educator, working very hard on Leadership and preventing risk behaviours among teens. He
loves drawing, writing, Heavy Metal, classical music and trance. He loves languages, and speaks some...
He says: "Actually I found your site while preparing some stuff for a teen work I had to do, with my
leaders group, about sexuality, and obviously sex and gender.
I am bisexual, and never ever told anything to anyone, but after I met your site I took the courage and came out to my friends... my true friends
who I just discovered because my "friends" betrayed me... just because... Those were nasty times until my real friends came to
me." Nov 2003

This poem I wrote is to my best friend: Fidel, who was the first person I came out to. We have known each other for a long time, but it
was just this past summer that we both found out who we were really... meant to be friends.

TO A NAMED FRIEND
No matter how hard For I battled have... Oh yes! Burly it was, Much damage it
does.
Why me? Hurt i've been, Pains what I recall. Why me? Hurt i've been, In gloom I may fall.
Perhaps one time more I'll see naked truth, This burden I
bore... No, not anymore!
For long I have thought My soul was concealed. For long I have thought Quite easy it was not.
Many I have known As well being
betrayed, They left my happines flown, My tears may off be not.
But in times of despair, When light was unlit I found what was fair, An exit in the lair.
The
spirit long lost Has finally appeared. The spirit long lost Sudden, come to me.
For me a brother, More than just a friend, In my life the order More than just a
prayer.
For him a brother, More than just a friend, He was in the border Of life and danger.
In the world we met, Benedicition I say, In the world we met, Call
it the best day.
Hope I found... He gave to me... The purest love... That of care... That was the time We both found What was left...

I wrote this poem because I know many of the non heterosexual guys and girls... specially here in ecuador, can't find someone to
love, because of many factors such as society mainly, so here is a light of hope for all...

THE TALE OF UNHEARD LOVE
For I have listened Justice Tell her mighty tales, Amazing her voice is, Even
though feels like blades. While I heard I wondered How I could take her hand, I was a bit buffled, A sword instead of wand.
Clear I saw, it was real, My power was
weakened, This world is just mean, My visage felt freeze.
"But how can I live?" I try and speak. "What surrounds me is grief" The people have freaked.
"Tell me,
oh! Young kid... what happens to you" At that time I was freed, Something else she wanted to do.
She opened her mouth, To me was sent peace, She let a couple words
out, Love? What letters are these?
Explained shall it be not, You just let it be. Tongues of fire, burned I got, Now with bright light I see...
The being is not
met, At least unknown still. My dreams don't forget, I will one day feel.

Summon
What will the newborn be told? Of an ancient Eden of peace? Or of a new cub of
Chaos? Unfortunate times we shall face, The protector spoke, Why won't we hear the call? Wandering in the space We crawl in calm, Although those, the most Grow in ultimate
pain. Because green is our utopia, While feeling the creep of our distopia, Watching, or thinking, Since actions are lost From our own consciousness. In a rage of anger, Furious
clouds may flee our sight, Holy breath may flee our need. So let us, The fools, So named superior mortals Naked, to the truth, Of a dark mist upon. So let us The fools, So
called superior mortals Find our way to thee. What if the heating lord, Or the immense and vast life source Feeling, crying, Turn against their sons? Because the odds oppose us, As a
warrior opposes his foe, Because foes we have become, As foes we are bound to fall. Because alone, We shall be when our protector shatters, Heed the call! The land summoning
is! Command the battle, Of one against us. The power is within, Heed the call! But we deaf are, To the voice, To the voice of who we belong, The who that shields and raises. I
swear myself to thee! No matter my war, My war is waged alone, I will become one, The one to free you From pain, From fear, From suffer, From ourselves. Just you all know for
our sake, The protector will be here Crying beneath. You all, I beg, For the protector, For our sake, Follow me… Follow me…
