Purchasing Eye-Shadow
There are many different types of eye-shadows including, but most DEFINITELY not limited to powder, eyeshadow sticks (Like eyeliner but thicker tip), Cremes,
and Pigments (A loose powder applied by dropping a bit of water in, goes on VERY bright).
I personally use the most common, the regular powder eye-shadows that can be found in most
places that stock make-up.
Choosing the right color -Remember to stay away from eye-shadows the same shade as your eyes, you want the color to COMPLIMENT your eyes, NOT
compete with them. -Remember that light shades bring out your eyes, darker shades give dimension. (ie small eyes = lighter shades, large or protruding eyes = darker shades) -Its
also best to stay away from colors matching your hair color exactly. -WARNING FOR BLUE EYES
Never, never EVER use any shade of blue eyeshadow, this will make your eyes look washed out. -The best thing to do is to try out a few different colors to see what you like the best, following these few rules.
Choosing the right brand As
always, I am going to suggest MAC, though ANNABELLE is a cheap alternative and doesn't fade as quickly. I have had some bad experiences with REVLON myself, the creme base
eye-shadows, anyways. I never tried any of their other stuff after that, if you must use REVLON go for it, but I suggest staying away from their creme base eye-shadows.
"Natural" Stick
to Brown and Beige colors.
"Queeny" Go crazy! Pick out your pink eye-shadow, your black, whatever you want!
