Applying Eyeliner
Eyeliner is probably the trickiest to apply but once you have learned to use it properly results are AMAZING.
Firstly make sure you have
applied eyeshadow if you are going to be applying any, take off any bracelets, watches, etc that could be distracting, and find a room with good lighting.
Applying with an eyeliner pencil You
should be able to draw a thin, unbroken line with your pencil. I suggest quickly drawing a small, thin line on your arm to make sure you do not need to sharpen. If it is
to thick you may want to sharpen it, if its too thin draw a line with it on a tissue. Which should make the tip blunter.
Hold the pencil in your dominant hand while
stretching the eye from the outer corner with your other hand.
The line that you draw should be just above your eyelashes on the top lid, and just below your eyelashes
on your bottom lid.
I suggest blending it after with either a q-tip, or some eyeliner pencils come with a blender on the opposite side of the eyeliner tip, this causes
it to look a lot straighter though it does take away some of the impact because it blends out some of the color. I suggest using liquid eyeliner if you want it to be extremely
dark and noticeable.
Applying with liquid eyeliner Liquid eyeliner comes in a bottle that looks a lot like one of those olden day ink bottles, some of
them come with a brush in the lid that you screw on and off, and some require you to purchase your own brush.
KEEP YOUR EYE OPEN while applying liquid eyeliner,
it makes it easier to follow your eyes natural curve, which in turn makes the line look a lot straighter.
It is a lot easier to create a lot of dots just above your
eyelashes on your top lid, or just below your eyelashes on your bottom lid and then connect them together after.
If after you have put on the eyeliner you decide you
want it thicker, build it up GRADUALLY. ie. Start at the middle point of your eye and draw towards the outer corner.
Depending on how you want to look, you would
make the line thicker or thinner. Its your preference. Thinner for a more natural, daytime look. Or thicker for a more 'edgy', nighttime look.

* Its a guide for the top lid, but you can basically use the same for the bottom lid, just make sure it is just under your eyelashes.
