It’s taken us over a year of work to get this new version of Chadzboyz completed. I don’t think we ever thought it would be so much work –but we did it! The site has been designed for teens and older as was the past site. Some content may be unsuitable for younger readers. No adult material is available anywhere on the site. Let’s take a quick look at some of the more noteworthy changes.
Updated Content
We’ve updated all of the sexually transmitted diseases section to include photos of the viruses or bacteria and also brought all the content up to date. Many other sections are updated also throughout the site.
New Content
We’ve doubled the content on the site compared to the previous site. Much of this is contributed by our forum teen members based on their own experiences.
New Sections
We’ve added the LIFEzone, MEMBERSzone, PARENTSzone and the XTRAzone while renaming the fashion boyzone to HOTDIGSzone.
PARENTzone
Why do we need this? Well, when many GLBT teens come out to their parents, the parents don’t know how to react. Now you can tell them to just read the PARENTzone for advice.
New Categories
The content is much better organized into major sections or Zones, and then within the Zone into categories. This will make it easier to find what you are looking for.
Greater Racial Diversity
We've tried to include photos or blacks, latinos, and asians as well as others. We know we have more work to do on this and we will continue to improve. We want everyone to see themselves somewhere on the site.
Women & Girls
Yes, we include photos of gals on the site to serve many of our lesbian friends and their needs as well. Articles like “Puberty in Girls” and information for women relating to STIs are now included. We also have women and straights as forum members.
The Look
We have a high-impact transparent template for our design. In addition, we use a different background for each of the Zones so you always know where you are in the site.
The Dynamics
Each zone has up to 5 rotating photos to highlight the content in that section. As well there is a random slideshow on the top right of each page. You’d need to look at about 80 pages before seeing a repeat. Click on one of these photos to see a larger image. Some other photos in articles show a magnifying glass which means a larger picture will appear if you click on it.
Article Illustrations
We’ve added an illustration to almost every article to make it more interesting and informative.
Article Stats
You can see how many people have looked at various articles on our main section and category pages.
News Ticker
Our news ticker keeps you informed of the latest major happenings in the GLBT world.
Photo Galleries
These are all redone in a new format. Just remember that after seeing the first 20 photos, you need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to click on the next 20. Sorry, but we wanted to give you some exercise. You can also set it to show all rather than just 20 photos.
Reader Input
New Contact Us forms, Guestbook and Polls give you a chance to give us feedback. As well, they make it easier for you to send us your poetry, comments, coming out stories, and short stories for our MEMBERzone.
New Logo
We’ve designed a new logo to replace our old one but still incorporate our rainbow colours. This will help identify the site but in a subtle way.
Frontpage
The new frontpage gives you a listing of the latest articles as well as the most popular articles. This will instantly let you know if you’ve missed anything.
Site Map
This provides a complete listing of every article on the site by section (zone).
