What Makes a Good Hairstylist? What to look for
Step 1: Start with the ReputationChances are that a good hair stylist or barber will have a wide clientele. Ask your friend where they get their hair cut. They will be flattered by your asking, and you will get a tip on a good stylist. Step 2: The First TimeThere are certain things you need to look for in a salon or barber shop, and while it may require some trial and error experimentation for you, there are some key indicators as to the quality of the service offered. Step 3: Trial and ErrorSometimes even if the place looks great and the people are friendly and what one would look for in a stylist/barber; the place still is less than what you had expected and with that being said, all hair will grow back. Everyone is bound to get a bad haircut in their time, and sometimes you just have to look around to find the best stylist.

Secondly, look around the salon/barber shop. The same applies here. If the place is dirty, or in any way not visually pleasing, it is probably not somewhere you want to be. Plus you run the risk of illness if the scissors/clippers/etc. are not properly cleaned. Again, if someone takes pride in their work, they will maintain their workplace.
